About disc golf...

Disc golf is a game that is very similar to traditional golf, except that instead of hitting a ball into the hole, you throw a frisbee (flying disc) into a specially designed metal basket. The goal is the same: to finish the course with as few throws as possible. Trees, shrubs and the rugged terrain around the disc’s flight path pose a real challenge for players.

The game of disc golf is perfectly suitable for all ages, as no previous knowledge is required. The activity is a great choice for families, larger groups or teambuildings, as it encourages cooperation (fair play), strengthens concentration and provides aerobic exercise.

Relax while enjoying sports and nature.

The game of disc golf takes about 60 minutes

Advance booking is not required

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Disc golf is a game which is similar to ordinary golf but instead of clubs and balls the playing equipment consists of plastic discs (commonly known as frisbees) that come in many different shapes and weights. They are meant to land inside the disc golf target (basket), which has the same function as the hole as in golf. The winner of a round is the one who completes the course with the least number of throws.
The first throw must be made from a designated throwing area (tee). After the first throw, every next throw is made by the player whose disc is furthest from the basket. Never throw the disc while there are other players in front of you. Ensure that the area where the disc will be thrown is completely empty and that there are no spectators or hikers nearby.
Disc golf can be played as an afternoon family walk in nature, as a team building, school sports day activity.
A reservation for a disc golf game is not required. For groups (20 or more people), we recommend pre-booking by phone or e-mail.
We recommend 3-5 players playing at a time. If a group is larger, players are divided into groups that follow each other in a few minutes. The player who finishes the game with the fewest throws wins.
When playing disc golf, you only need a disc or frisbee. If you do not have your own, you can borrow it from us.
We recommend sportswear and sports footwear.
How much time you spend on a game course depends on your knowlegde and your walking speed. Beginners on average finish the game within 60 minutes.
1. Do not litter! Please leave the course the way you found it.
2. Disc golf is a sport similar to ordinary golf, except that flying discs (frisbees) are used instead of golf balls and golf clubs. Each throw is counted and added to the final score. The winner is the player with the least number of throws.
3. The first throw must be made from a designated throwing area (tee).
4. After the first throw, every next throw is made by the player whose disc is furthest from the basket. Never throw the disc while there are other players in front of you. Ensure that the area where the disc will be thrown is completely empty and that there are no spectators or hikers nearby.
5. The player with the least number of throws from the previous course is the one who throws first. Since disc golf is an honorable sport, an experienced player plays first and thus makes the learning easier for the inexperienced players.
6. After the first throw, every throw is made with a standing foot behind the lie (the furthest point reached by the previously thrown disc). The other foot must also be behind this point.
7. Run-in and follow through over the lie are after the release of the disc if the throw was made more than 10 meters away from the basket. Within 10 meters of the basket a so-called putt is made, which means that the player must stay behind the lie during the whole flight of the disc.
8. The hole is completed when disc lands in chains or inside the basket. If the disc stops at the top or outside the basket, the hole is not yet completed and an additional throw or throws are required.
9. If the disc flies out of bounds, the next throw is made from the point where the disc left the playing area last. One penalty throw is added to the player’s score of a current hole. Water, roads, parking lots are usually considered as the area outside of the playing area.
10. Be polite to other players. Stand still while other players throw and try to stay behind or at least out of a sight of a player who is preparing for his throw.
Disc golf operates every day from May until the end of autumn. If you are not sure about available dates, call us or send us an e-mail.
For groups, we recommend booking the course in advance, as this is the only way we will be able to provide you with a free polygon.
